OPTIONAL ADVENTURE & EXTREME SPORTS

When you buy the Sports & Activities Optional Coverage, you can add all the sports and activities that you would like to be covered for while you're away if you plan to participate, train or practice for any of them during your trip. See below for details on the sports & activities and the exclusion that may apply.

If a sport or activity is not listed as an option in the Sports & Activities Coverage and is not listed as an exclusion, coverage is already available under the Emergency Medical Insurance plan without the purchase of this optional coverage.

For example, Heli and Cat Skiing are not excluded and do not need to be added as an optional sport even though it’s considered “Backcountry”. The bottom line is it’s already covered if you’re with a licensed guided tour operator.

If you are coaching or teaching any of the sports or activities but are not actually participating in them, you do not need to purchase the Sports & Activities Coverage for coverage to apply.
