WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

This coverage is best suited for:

  • Those taking a quick trip to Canada

  • Ski / Snowboard / Downhill Mountain Bike vacations

  • On a Work Visa Permit

  • If your previous coverage has run out

  • Awaiting BC Medical

  • An International Student

  • Visiting on a Family Visa

AND

  • Not travelling against a physician’s advice

  • Have not been diagnosed with a terminal condition

  • You know of no reason for which you may seek medical attention.

  • You are: a) foreign worker, or a visitor to Canada (student) with valid legal status in Canada; or, b) An immigrant awaiting provincial or territorial government health care coverage; or, c) A returning Canadian not eligible for a provincial or territorial government health care plan due to an extended leave.

  • The expenses you incur result from an acute, sudden and unexpected emergency.

CAN I BUY COVERAGE IF I'M ALREADY IN CANADA?

Yes, if you know of no reason for which you may seek medical attention.

You should note that for Insurance purchased within 60 days after arrival in Canada: There is no coverage for any sickness arising in, occurring in or symptomatic during the first 48 hours of the effective date of the Policy. This includes any related expenses incurred after the first 48 hours from the effective date of the Policy.

For Insurance purchased 61 days or more after arrival in Canada: There is no coverage for any sickness arising in, occurring in or symptomatic during the first seven days of the effective date of the Policy. This includes any related expenses incurred after the first seven days from the effective date of the Policy.

The waiting period is not applicable when insurance is purchased prior to arrival in Canada.
